Consul-General or Chef? A Seamless Transition: Haoji Inspiration Kitchen Welcomes Consul-General of Australia in Chengdu
On the morning of August 22, 2017, three esteemed guests arrived at the Haoji Inspiration Kitchen. They were Mr. Lin Minghao, Consul-General of Australia in Chengdu, Ms. Zheng Hua, Senior Business Representative of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, and Mr. Zheng Xinhao, Marketing Director of the Australian "Shuijingfang Catering Group."
What brought this "Australian delegation" to the Inspiration Kitchen?
As a foreign resident in Chengdu, Mr. Lin Minghao naturally holds a special affection for the city and Sichuan province. Just as kangaroos are synonymous with Australia, pandas and countless delicious foods are inseparable from Chengdu in Mr. Lin's eyes.
The purpose of this visit was, of course, to experience authentic Sichuan cuisine and promote cultural exchanges between Chinese and Australian cuisines.
Exploring the Flavors of Sichuan Cuisine
Upon entering the Haoji Inspiration Kitchen, Mr. Lin Minghao was deeply infected by the rich cultural atmosphere of Sichuan cuisine. As Ms. Tan Lei, the Marketing Manager of Haoji, explained the 24 flavors of Sichuan cuisine to him, Mr. Lin Minghao's culinary expertise shone through as he asked detailed questions and expressed amazement at the numerous ingredients required to create a single Sichuan flavor.
After learning about Haoji's more than 30 years of dedication to Sichuan condiments, Mr. Lin Minghao delved deeper into how Haoji products "achieve" authentic Sichuan flavors and what distinguishes them from other products. Ms. Tan Lei explained that the freshness and complex flavor of Haoji chicken bouillon can bring a rich foundation to Sichuan cuisine, better supporting the "flavor pyramid theory" of its complex and diverse flavors. Mr. Lin immediately grasped the concept and praised the profoundness of Sichuan cuisine culture and Haoji's professionalism.
Having explored both the flavors and culture of Sichuan cuisine, how could Mr. Lin Minghao, a loyal fan of Sichuan cuisine, resist the urge to cook some himself?
The Consul-General Transforms into a Chef
Guided by Master Chef Lu Jian, Mr. Lin Minghao personally mixed two different sauces with unique flavors. One was prepared according to traditional methods, while the other was an innovative sauce that incorporated Haoji's Spicy Sichuan Sauce.
The new sauce, with the addition of Haoji's Spicy Sichuan Sauce, added a unique Sichuan-style flavor and rich texture, making it quick and convenient. Naturally, it captured Mr. Lin's heart, earning his continuous praise. He expressed great satisfaction with the sauce he had mixed and even a hint of pride, promptly taking out his phone to record his culinary masterpiece.

Mr. Sun Hongqiang, General Manager of Haoji, also expressed the company's willingness to further promote Sichuan cuisine culture and welcome more Australian friends to experience Sichuan cuisine at the Haoji Inspiration Kitchen.
Accompanied by delicious food and pleasant conversation, time flew by. After the meal, Mr. Lin Minghao was invited to write a message in the "Inspiration Diary" as a souvenir. Upon hearing this, Mr. Lin insisted on expressing his feelings in Chinese, carefully leaving his calligraphy. The cute Chinese characters and elegant English handwriting perfectly demonstrated his charming contrast.
The Consul-General's recognition of Sichuan cuisine gave Haoji even more confidence to promote it widely, allowing food lovers in Australia and beyond to enjoy authentic Sichuan flavors.
